Change of venue and sponsors for immigration film series

After much discussion, it has been decided that the film series “Whither Thou Goest—Great Films About Immigration & Refugees”—which was scheduled to begin at Best Video Film & Cultural Center next Monday, Oct. 9—will be sponsored by and shown at Temple Beth Sholom rather than BVFCC. It will be open to the public.

The thoughtful program designed by Hank Paper will certainly catalyze some wonderful discussions. For more information, contact Hank Paper at hank@hankpaper.com or (203) 710-6374 or TBS Adult Education Chair Albert Harary at albertharary@hotmail.com or (203) 288-1347. Admission is $7 per film and free for Temple Beth Sholom members.

For its part, BVFCC will be reaching out to local organizations involved in immigration issues and refugee resettlement with the intention of developing a film and speakers-based community event around these issues for the spring of 2018.
