CapitalH Booking presents Delicate Flowers, Disco Teen ’66, New Amsterdam Nobles in early Sat. show

CapitalH Booking presents a three-band bill of indie music at Best Video Performance Space on Saturday, July 22. Featured acts are Delicate Flowers (from New Jersey), Disco Teen ’66, and New Amsterdam Nobles. The show starts at 7 PM and the cover is $5-7 (sliding scale, pay what you can in that range).

Delicate Flowers.

Delicate Flowers is a band featuring members of NGHTCRWLRS, The Nico Blues, All Sensory Void, and the Sound is Fine. Their Bandcamp tags are “alternative, garage rock, happiness is a warm gun, indie rock, psychedelic, pop, weirdo, rock, New Jersey.”

Disco Teen ’66 is full band mode at Best Video Performance Space in March, 2017.

Disco Teen ’66 is a band that comes from the musical collaborations between songwriter/guitarist Sean Pulito and bassist Greg Perault. After graduating high school in 2009, they began working together and by 2010 had created Disco Teen ’66. Some called it surf punk, others called it cotton candy fuzz pop. Either way, it got a positive response from the CT underground and d.i.y. community. For this show, Sean and Greg will play as an acoustic duo.

New Amsterdam Nobles.

Music: Rock from Disco Teen ’66 Fri., Mar. 17

Rock trio Disco Teen ’66 plays Best Video Performance Space Friday, Mar. 17. The show starts at 8 PM and the cover is $5.

Disco Teen ’66 is a band that comes from the musical collaborations between songwriter/guitarist Sean Pulito and bassist Greg Perault. After graduating high school in 2009, they began working together and by 2010 had created Disco Teen ’66 along with drummer Lucas Borgsted. Together they recorded and released their self-titled album in 2013 with Darth Fader Recordings. Some called it surf punk, others called it cotton candy fuzz pop. Either way, it got a positive response from the CT underground and d.i.y. community.

By 2014, Lucas had left the band. Sean and Greg continued to work on new material and working with different drummers. In 2016 they began working with drummer Dan Carr and are currently working on a new album at Blind Moose Studios. Disco Teen ’66 has been playing around the New Haven area at venues like Cafe Nine, Stella Blues, and The Space for the past four years and now reside in the east shore area. They take influence from The Beatles, The Pixies, Led Zeppelin, Ween, Primus, The Grateful Dead, King Crimson, Sly and the Family Stone, and many more.
