Best Video Film and Cultural Center (BVFCC) was created to preserve Best Video’s rich archive and explore new ways to bring people, film, and music together. In 2015, BVFCC took over the former independent video store Best Video, a valued community space serving Greater New Haven with its world-class film archive, performance space and coffee bar.

BVFCC preserves film culture and hosts meaningful cultural programs for the public. Unique both in Greater New Haven and the region, BVFCC embraces its multifaceted role as a community gathering place, performance venue, and accessible doorway to the breadth of cinema history. At the core of our efforts is the collection of nearly 40,000 film titles and our physical space on Whitney Avenue.

Along with preserving and expanding the world class archive of movies, BVFCC regularly presents music and film-relayed programming that appeals to diverse and wide-ranging audiences. In 2021, despite the pandemic, BVFCC has presented almost 100 music events, both inside and outside.

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as defined and approved by the IRS. Because of this status, you can make a tax-deductible contribution to BVFCC.
