Fuselaje is a high-energy worldbeat ensemble based in New Haven, CT, blending the twang and reverb of surf rock, the kinetic energy of ska, and the Afro-Latin rhythms of cumbia with psychedelic grooves and punk rock swagger.
In late-2023, out of the breakup of surf combo Renegade Lounge, guitarist/frontman Tim Goselin, bassist Chris Fasanella, and sometime collaborator/baritone sax player Dustin Kreidler (ex-Hub City Stompers) envisioned a band that would push the boundaries of genre, in the way that The Clash incorporated reggae, dub, funk, and rockabilly to transcend their gritty punk rock roots. They were soon joined by Austin, TX transplant, percussionist Oscar Alarcon (ex-La Vida Buena ATX), who introduced influences from cumbia and salsa. Rounding out the lineup are keyboard player Seth Sotolongo, percussionists Bruce Crowder and Joe Scialla, and trumpet player Chris Barrett. They have shared stages and shaken asses with the likes of Dunia & Aram, Nick & the Adversaries, Habbina Habbina, Sgt Scag, the Hempsteadys, the Simulators, and the Pilfers.
